TPS Cloud Axis offers a comprehensive set of Time Entry Filters. These filters provide a variety of options for reviewing and managing time entry transactions, ensuring quick and effective access to the details on the Time Entry Screen using either the 'Filter' or 'Advanced Filter' options. It's important to note that certain functions may be restricted by the user's permissions. For those with the necessary permissions, here's how these filters can assist in transaction management.

Predefined Filters:

The 'Filter' section provides predefined options for filtering transactions based on the 'Journal Status': which includes Time (T) or WIP status, and based on the creation date, providing choices like 'All dates,' 'This Week,' 'This Month,' 'Last Month,' and 'Today.' These filters offers the option to quickly access the time entry information relevant to your specific needs.

Advanced Filter:

The 'Advanced Filter' is where the real power lies. This tool allows you to filter for specific transactions with precision. You can also manage these filtered transactions and even export them into MS Excel if necessary. The 'Advanced Filter' provides various filtering options, including:

  • Client: Filter transactions by client. Specify a range using 'From and To Client ID,' or utilize the 'Search' function. Select your desired client from the list by clicking the selection box and then hit 'Select' to add them to the list. If you need to remove any selected Client simply click the 'X' located next to the client's name in the 'Selected Items' list.
  • Date Range: You have the option to pick both 'From and To Dates.' If you want to clear your selected dates, click on the 'Reset' option within the Dates box.
  • Engagements: Filter transactions based on engagements, although this feature can be skipped if your firm doesn't utilize it.
  • Employees: Filter transactions by employee, with the option to select specific individuals or all employees.
  • Managers: Filter by the manager assigned to clients. The manager is assigned in the 'Client's properties - Admin tab,' so the accuracy of this filter depends on that assignment.
  • Partners: Similar to managers, you can filter based on partners assigned to clients in the 'Client's properties - Admin tab.'
  • Status: This tab is divided into 'Time Status' and 'Work Code Type.'
    • 'Time Status' allows filtering based on the 'Journal Status,' differentiating between transactions still in 'Time (T),' those under the 'WIP status,' or those already billed, showing as 'History (H).
    • 'Work Code Type' allows you to choose the type of work codes you want to display, such as 'Expenses,' 'Chargeable,' or 'Non-chargeable.'

  • Work Codes: This tab offers a 'Search' option for specific Work Type names, Work Subtypes, or Work codes. You can select the specific work codes you want to filter, making it easy to focus on the tasks you need to review. To remove selected items, simply click on the 'X' next to the 'Selected Item'.

The filtering options allows you to manage the transactions with the use of the different 'Actions,' or export them into MS Excel using the 'Print Grid Data' function located in the gear icon in the upper right section of the screen. This powerful feature provides a comprehensive toolkit for managing your time entries efficiently and accurately.

TPS Cloud Axis' Time Entry Filters offer precise transaction management at your fingertips, ultimately enhancing your efficiency and productivity.
