We have an improvement request for TPS related to Bank Hours . I have revised the FORUM and the instructional videos , but none speaks about Bank hours in detail.

We understand what Bank hours means and how the concept is used in accounting firms , however we would need to have a TEXT field attached to the Bank hours , so our managers can track what work has been done during the bank hours and in which client account those hours must be allocated.

Hi Sergio!

We'd like to inform you about the upgraded 'Bank Hours' feature in the Time Entry Screen. With this enhancement, staff members can now tag the time entry transactions associated with the total Bank Hours input for the day. This provides sorting capabilities, making it more convenient to identify the descriptions linked to those transactions. However, it's important to note that all Bank hours still need to be manually tracked.

Hi Sergio!

When a staff tracks 'Bank Hours' on the Time Entry screen for a specific date, the details of the transactions and descriptions are visible in the Time Entry section. It's crucial to understand that TPS doesn't manually calculate or include an identifier for these transactions. Therefore, it is necessary for the staff to manually keep track of their bank hours per day if the firm chooses to use this feature.

To identify which days have bank hours, you can either utilize the 'Employee List Report - Bank Hours' or the Time Entry 'Monthly Total.' To view the detailed transactions recorded on those specific days, you can navigate to the Time Entry screen and use the 'Filter, Advanced Filter' to select the required data and see the transactions for that day. Once the transactions are displayed, you could sort the transactions by the 'Start or Stop Columns'. If the staff's workday ends at 6:00 PM, the Time Entry Start/Stop column allows you to identify transactions created around that time, providing details such as client, work code, hours, and description for each transaction.

For additional information on the bank hours section, please refer to the article titled 'Tracking and Managing Bank Hours,' and for more details about the Advanced Filters, you could access the article called 'Maximizing Efficiency with Time Entry Filters in TPS Cloud Axis.'
